Lewie Reynolds
Lewie is a highly experienced dog trainer. Lewie was a Foster Parent from 1996 to 2003 with nine becoming Certified Assistance Dogs; five were raised from 7 weeks old, and 2 went to United States Customs. Lewie is currently affiliated with FBI/AD and co-owns a Chocolate Lab Splash that will be used in FBI/AD's breeding program. Lewie also competes in Obedience Trials with Splash and says, "she is so motivated and gifted and is a real pleasure to work with". Lewie has also been responsible for training Caesar, Wilbur, and Buddy in which Caesur and Wilbur have been placed.
Lewie has also rescued and placed five dogs with one going to the Frankenmuth Lutheran Home. Lewie is also an evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and also received the Janet Trout Memorial Award 2009 at the annual CDTC Awards Banquet.
Lewie's favorite pastime is teaching obedience classes and seeing his students go on in the dog world and succeed in Obedience, Agility, CGC and Therapy dog work. "I focus on educating the public about positive dog training and how valuable a well trained dog can be to change lives. I believe attitude is everything". Lewie is continually asked to perform obedience and tracking demonstrations and has done so at the Frankenmuth Dog Bowl by the Zehnder Family.
One of Lewie's lasting memories is when Bray and Chief passed away. Lewie received cards from people all over the USA that he had competed with, trained and helped. "I find that the people in the dog world are happy, positive and motivated, and that is how I plan to stay".
Lewie's favorite quote: "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself' in the service of others", by Gandhi.

Kathy Reid [Assistant Trainers]
Kathy has owned dogs, of various bredds, for over 40 years. Some of those breeds include a Dachie (”Pokey”), Scottish Terrier (”Scottie”), Pekingese / Terrier mix (”Pepper”), and Cocker Spaniels (“Kahlua” and “Sunnie”). Her current dog, “Sunnie”, is the first that has competed, so in such a short time, they are doing wonderful together.
Sunnie has earned her Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog International certificates, as well as a few North American Dog Agility Council titles (Novice Jumpers, Tunnelers, and Touch-N-Go). Sunnie enjoys visits to local nursing homes, as well. Their favorite venue to compete in, though, is Canine Performance Events. At the 2008 CPE Nationals, Sunnie earned “Reserve High In Trial (Standard)” for level 2!! She also has all of her level 1 & level 2 legs for: Standard, Colors, Jackpot, Wildcard, Jumpers, Snookers, and Full House. These make up for her CL1-F, CL1-R, CL1-H, CL2-F, CL2-R, CL2-H, and CL2-S titles for CPE. Sunnie is now almost done with her Level 3 legs and ready to move onto Level 4.
Kathy has great way of conneting to people and has been helping assist train for Diamonds for over three years now. Her classes for these have included basic to advanced obedience, and beginning to intermediate agility. |
