How You Can Help

FOR BETTER INDEPENDENCE IS A 501(c)(3) NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION AND ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

Donating to For Better Independence Assistance Dogs ("FBI/AD")

Donations to FBI/AD can be either designated or undesignated.  Designated donations are used for a particular purpose and undesignated donations are used at FBI/AD’s discretion.  If you would like to make a designated donation, the IRS requires notification at the time of the donation.  A note on the “memo” line of your check or a quick letter accompanying your donation would meet this requirement.  If no such designation is made at the time of the donation, FBI/AD will consider the donation to be undesignated.

FBI can process refunds for donations within 30 calendar days of the original donation.    No refunds can be processed beyond 30 calendar days.

Send in a donation:  Donations can be mailed to 475 Vaughn Rd, Leslie, MI  49251

Planned giving:  Including FBI/AD in your Last Will & Testament creates a lasting legacy in your name.  You can bequeath a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate.  You can even make a “Rest & Residual” bequeath in which you designate FBI/AD as the beneficiary after all other bequests and obligations are fulfilled.  Be sure to ask your lawyer how you can incorporate planned giving into your estate plans.

Thank you in advance for your contribution.  Your financial support makes it possible for us to place special dogs with special people.  Thank you!!!
